After a Long Wait
Night comes in smile
When Day is tired
Craving a blanket for hiding
From these cruel taskmasters,
Day then slithers silently
Into the feathery burrows of peace.
Night is not a selfish fellow
Helping in exchange of help,
It gives dream, it gives snores of life
Amidst tinkles of sweet forgetfulness
Day then forgets its worry, in a jiffy
With friend and frolic, it's no more alone.
Solitude, it's very livening
For a glowworm to relish,
The suppressed smell of the backyard
Liberates to a life of fragrance
Night makes it possible, Night makes it pleasant
Chirp, chirp your life's song, it's the hour of anthem.
